Amazon Welcomes Back California Affliiates
61Good News Everyone in California
Amazon has reinstated affiliates in California following removing them from the Associates program over the collection of sales taxes in June of this year.
"As you may have heard, California Governor Jerry Brown has signed legislation repealing the law that had forced us to terminate our California Associates. We are pleased to invite all California Associates whose accounts were closed due to the prior legislation to re-enroll in the Associates Program," in an email from Amazon.
This will come as excellent news for many members of Hubpages that weren't able to create Amazon links in their hubs.
How to Get Back In
If you want to get back into the Amazon Associates program all you have to do is log back into your account and go to the Associates page. You will see a link to reinstate your account. After clicking that you agree to the terms and such (who reads those things?) you'll be back in and off and running.
You can go to this link and re-enroll. Be sure that you sign in with your email address you used previously with the Associates program. If you haven't gotten the email from Amazon yet, you will very soon.
As for me, this opens up a whole new line of ideas for my future hubs I had previously had to scrap before they could even see daylight.
